I totally enjoy the smartaleck remarks. Even when they are directed at me.

Should someone not like them, they need not pay the invoice.

There need not be any smart A$$ replies to innocent questions. It seems one
forgets that a question asked today might be from someone who has just
arrived on the scene, as well as a thoughtfully written reply, even if
copied and pasted from a previous post serves to benefit not only the one
who posted the question, but also serves to assist others who are subscribed
to the list and have not asked anything.

Common good manners dictates that if you cannot, or will not respond to a
particular question, then save the bandwidth and just delete it and go on
with life.

Not all people join lists for the purpose of pi$$ing off others, but to
actually resolve issues or contribute to overall knowledge. Taking up list
space by posting comments like "read the documentation", or "search the
knowledgebase" is just plain dumb, not to mention rude. If you want to
refer someone to the docs, then post a link to the answer the sender is
asking or just remain silent.

Above all, show a little respect for your colleagues who are trying to use
this software.
