Thanks all for the suggestions.  Some of them I've already done and others I'll try.

Still would like to know how it got there to start with.  Maybe put the user on the rack, or perhaps a cattle prod.

Subject: [IMail Forum] Maybe OT - LOVE PLATFORM TICK

I have a user that all of a sudden ended up with something called LOVE PLATFORM TICK in his running processes.  I found the folder this thing launches from and removed it, along with the registry entry that launches it.  But, after rebooting the registry entry is back even though it can't launch anything.  So, something else is writing to the registry.

AdAware, Spybot or anything else doesn't find the thing.

Anyway, I can't find any info on it and was wondering if anyone else has seen it and if so, where it might have come from (email, malicious site, etc.).  The user ain't fessing up since their boss hammered them a few months ago about opening unknown attachments and installing 'gee-wiz' software like toolbars and such.
