An email was returned to me "Unknown User", which I know could mean many different things.

So I checked the logs and found the entry.

SMTP (1908) 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for [EMAIL PROTECTED]

There were no "<" and ">", nor were there any quotation marks around the email address.

My first question is this: are these punctuations necessary in order to deliver email?

My second question is: if they are necessary, why would they not show up, IF when I sent the email it looked just like all the email that I normally send?
For example, in the To: field in Mozilla Mail, it says

Example Name <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

I checked their address at DNSStuff.com and everything seems cool there.

Thanks for you help.
