Len,
I don't really care about your policies, but don't hang them out as best
practices to people that might follow your lead without understanding
the full impact of doing it.

I always thought the goal here was to limit spam without having false
positives. Your approach appears to result in false positives. I would
expect an admin with that knowledge to "reduce the filter strength"
until the false positives were virtually eliminated. That does not
appear to be your approach.

btw, there are more non-rejected posts to the IMGate mailing list by
spammers than there are legit msgs from subscribers, so how
"restrictive"
can my policies be? If spammers can post to the list, why can't Attila?

Attila has serious problem(s) he has to fix, and those problems have
nothing to do with IMGate.

That's your opinion based on FUD from Scott and no facts.

thank you.

IMGate is for hobbyists? 100s, maybe even 1000s of IMGates, are in
service
at ISPs and corporate MXs, with each setting its own policies.

Also, I would say very many, even most, of the IMGate users who run
IMail
also run Declude and implemented IMGate AFTER finding Declude
inadequate,
inaccepatble, insufficient.

( A major totally bogus foundation of Scott's IMGate FUD is that I
dictate
obligatory, unchangeable policies to IMGate admins who aren't allowed or

smart enough to set their own policies. Total BS. )

>we can not afford to block legitimate business email from our
customers.

nobody can. do you have a point beyond the moot motherhood?
