Scott Erwin - I have been a user for 5 plus year and over the last year the administrator. Currently, I do not have the resources to test Ver 8.10. My company has been running version 8.00 - version 8.05 for over the last year. The software has been reliable in my opinion. It does have some problem. Do not believe the 8.1 Release is up to Imail Standards. I would had hoped they would have pulled the release back until the Q Manager and other major issues are fixed. I find the inability to integrate an A/V Software very problematic. I am not comfortable with spec out Declude (Sorry Scott) or Imail A/V due to costs.

I'm in a similar situation. About 80 - 90 users altogether. We've been using Imail for the past 5 years or so. We've had little problems, but most of those were server related problems, and not Imail. I can't speak for other people here and there problems, but Imail has been great. Mail accessible from anywhere, web interface, easy to administer. No complaints here. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Scott Erwin Sent: Tuesday, April 06, 2004 8:37 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [IMail Forum] Second Guessing my decision?? I'm the network admin for a company that employs about 130 people and two domains. We've been using our ISP and pop mail since I've been here and I finally talked the higher ups into letting me bring the email services in house. MS Exchange was ruled out because it was too expensive, so I have been testing Imail since version 7. I like the KWM interface and IMAP seems to work well with Outlook Express. I've got the Symantec AV installed and spam filtering set up and so far I just have a few users testing it out for me and it seems to be running great. The server is a SuperMicro with dual 2.4GHz Xeons, Ultra 160 SCSI and 512MB RAM. (I may double that). After being a member of this list for a few weeks, I've been feeling a little discouraged reading about all the problems I could face when I take this baby live. (version 8.05) Overall , do you think Imail is a good choice? I spent two years making my case for this.
