Sounds like some files were in use when you did the upgrade. Did it ask you to reboot
after it was finished upgrading?

Subject: [IMail Forum] 8.10 Install Problem

Hello List

My upgrade from 8.03 story.

I cannot install hotfixes because I get "Old file not found" errors, so I
decided to bite the bullet, and install the latest version.

After backing up my server, I installed v8.10. I simply overwrote the old
directory structure.
The programs installed with no problems, but when I tried to run IMail, I
received the error "bad entrypoint" in Mailbox.dll

I removed the install and tried again, with the same result.

Giving it up as a bad job, I removed the directories, deleted the registry
files, and restored my old system, which seems no worse for it's little
holiday.

My server is a DELL Poweredge 2650
Single 1.8 Zeon
1Gb RAM
80Gb SCSI HDD
Dual Gb Broadcom NetXtreme NIC

Running Windows 2K patched up to buggery.

Can anyone tell me where I went wrong?

Cheers - Chris

Oh, BTW - Happy Non-Denominational Easter everyone.
