Also, I did a lookup on dnsreport.com for the domain in question and the following came up:
"could not connect without GLUE or A Record"
What does this mean?
The problem is that the DNS report was trying to connect to the mailserver, but it was given a host name of something like 192.0.2.25. No glue was given for that hostname, so the DNS report tried an A record lookup. But 192.0.2.25 doesn't have an A record (IPs do not have A records), so it gave up trying.
