I'm running version 8.1HF2 The file was not saved. As soon as he opened the file I told him to close it. It did not prompt him to save the file.
I did not stop and restart all the services just the smtp service but I will do it right away. -----Original Message----- From: R. This is definitely an issue with SMTPd32.exe, that Ipswitch will need to investigate (assuming you are running the latest version). >I thought the problem was caused when the smtpd32.acc file was opened with >notepad the day before. Even though the file was not edited in any way, it >was opened when the service was running. The vital missing piece of information is "Did you save the file?". If you opened it and even edited it, there would be no problem. But if you saved it (with or without editing it), then it could cause this problem. >I restored the smtpd32.acc file from backup thinking that would correct >the problem. But I just got another error at 10:20 this morning. Did you stop/restart all the IMail services after loading in the old version of that file? If not, I would recommend doing so. If you did, this may be unrelated to the smtpd32.exe file. From the .dll file ("iaspam.dll"), it sounds like it is part of the IMail v8 anti-spam rather than the control access file. -Scott --- Declude JunkMail: The advanced anti-spam solution for IMail mailservers since 2000.
