[IMail Forum] Secure Email Transmission

My boss wants to know if we can transmit secure email using iMail.  The 
note he gave me talks about using the secure/mime (s/mime) standard. It 
says that it is supported by many internet and corporate e-mail 
packages.

I searched the archives and found a note about setting this up on a 
Outlook 2000 client. Is it a function of the client and not the mail 
server?
