Another factor that we've noticed here is how many of those users will be using the web interface.  We have over 5000 defined users (averaging around 120 concurrent users) who mainly use the webmail interface and are having to expand our T1 connection to accomodate all of those requests along with all the email that these accounts can generate.  Our IMail server is by far the biggest bandwidth hog that we have on our network.

Subject: [IMail Forum] Question regarding bandwidth

Hello,

I am running iMail server with approx 500 users.  I have just been tasked with adding a domain to handle 3000+ users.  Can anyone tell me the amount of bandwidth I can expect to use with 3500+ users?

Thanks

Joe
