Chris, I'm not sure if anyone mentioned this but if you are in using your own network or if you know all or most of the networks that your users will be sending you mail from, you can ALLOW these specific subnets only to send you mail and use auth for just the users on networks you do not know about or control. To do this use the 'relay for addresses' feature of Imail.
