-NUL is a like a file 13 mail folder, similar to other mail folders you
might create, except that IMail just deletes it. If the account is
[EMAIL PROTECTED], then sending to [EMAIL PROTECTED] gets thrown away, as
opposed to sending to [EMAIL PROTECTED] which files the email in the
orders folder under the [EMAIL PROTECTED] email account.

Note that the -NUL is generally used in IMail rules to delete an email.

We also sometimes use it when one of our customers changes email addresses
by setting up a vacation message on the old account telling of the new
address and forwarding to -NUL.

Darin.

NUL is what IMail uses in its log files to indicate the message was deleted.
If it was (using the example below) "me-main" it would indicate the message
was delivered to the "main" folder within the "me" mailbox.

Herm...did that answer your question?

At the risk of sounding stupid. How does -NUL indicate it was deleted ?

Thank You,

The message was deleted. The "-NUL" indicates it was deleted, probably due
to the spam filtering rules you have in place.

Subject: [IMail Forum] Email not received from client: log shows it delivere

Hello All,
I have a client who is not able to receive emails from a particular domain.
He's able to send emails fine but not receive them. The client did a test
email to his customer and cc'd me. I checked the logs and the email was
delivered to the customer fine, to which she replied to us. I checked t he
logs and found that the logs showed the emails as being delivered yet
neither I nor my client received anything. Here's the logs:

Any thoughts on this? I've checked my kill file for the end customer's
domain and found nothing. I've also checked my Declude spam account and
found nothing. What am I missing here?
