This happens 3 times now to me during the last 3 weeks. I didn't notice
the
lock file, but imap makes this .mbx very big (some GB) and uses all
processor time. After that the mailbox is unuseable, even if i stop this
process.

I do this by stopping IMAP4D32 service, deleting the .mbx and .uid
(restore
an older one), and starting imap again. I can`t view or accesss the big
file, so i deleted it.

Win2000 SP4 fully patched, IMail 8.10 HF2, most clients use IMAP.
