Good point... IPSwitch could add a dropdown: "Keep X subdomain levels" or something, but that kind of defeats the speed benefit this tool provides.
Personally, I never add subdomain.domain.com. Very rarely do I get spam that's from a subdomain of a legitimate domain... in fact, I can't even think of any examples so I would probably never use this tool. If a domain sends us spam, the whole domain gets listed-- we get way too much spam to worry about being extremely precise (I know that sounds harsh and risky, but we've never had a notification of a false-positive because of us URL blacklisting an entire domain). In the rare (or perhaps not so rare) occasions when you need to keep the subdomain, you can just not use the Deobfuscator button. If I recall, the merge tool also strips out all subdomains from the URL blacklist anyway, so this logic is already semi-supported in iMail. In fact, what I'd really love to see is a feature within the mail client that lets you right-click a link and URL blacklist its domain.ext automatically. Right-clicking a graphic would have an additional option to also URL blacklist the domain.ext of the hosted graphic as well (if it's different from the href, and obviously if it's not a mail-contained graphic that shows up as hosted by your iMail domain!). Selecting a string of text and right-clicking would let you add it to the phrase list, etc. I can think of all kinds of administrative efficiencies like this. When I can copy an URL "something.com" and paste it into Admin, it takes just a couple seconds. When I have to delete the http://www.blah.blah. off the front and the something.com/blah/blah/blah off the end, it adds at least a few more seconds. Multiply that times the hundreds of times we do that a day and it adds up to a lot of time and a lot of worn out mouse buttons. ;-) Another feature-- I'd like text entry fields to auto-trim spaces from the beginning and end (the feature could be disabled with a checkbox that would remember its setting between sessions). I don't know how many times I've seem people enter "this is some spam text " and see it not catch spam the next time around because the spam has "this is some spam test<CR>" or something.
