Coming into this thread late, so sorry if I missed a post. ASSP and Imail work great on the same machine. The only thing you need to do to Imail is set it up to listen on a different port. For the sake of argument lets say instead of port 25 you use 525. Then you just tell ASSP to hand mail off to port 525 of Imail's primary IP. Done deal.
Anything like ColdFusion that wants to talk to Imail directly also needs to be made aware of the port switch in its settings. Web mail is completely unaffected by the presence of ASSP. Outgoing web mail bypasses ASSP entirely ... ASSP does its good work on port 25. Imail receives mail information, for lack of a better term, on a different port (default is 8383) and sends it out on port 525... ASSP is not in this picture (and if you try to put your web mail port into ASSP's second listening port it will break web mail). What was the original problem? Again, sorry for missing the start of this. -------------------------------------------- Matt Robertson [EMAIL PROTECTED] MSB Designs, Inc. http://mysecretbase.com -------------------------------------------- -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Nelson Rios Sent: Thursday, April 29, 2004 8:07 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [IMail Forum] ASSP and Imail Doug, I tried that and it didn't work. Don't know if you saw my original post, but I asked if ASSP should be set as the gateway in Imail. Is this how you are setup? Try it and check your ASSP logs. Douglas Traylor MIS Department Harbison-Fischer Mfg Co.
