I suggest you send this Postmaster part of the standard referencing the "Postmaster". He seems to have a problem with the area he is servicing. If you can find out the domain from which the postmaster @<domain name >is from, have the administrator modify the bounce message to address this issue.

I wish I was kidding. I searched around in our Imail server and could not find a way to change the message. I am assuming it is impossible to change, but I thought I would ask the almighty list since many people here have a lot more experience than I do with the 'internals' of Imail. This is the 2nd time this message has come through the list, please tell me your kidding right? -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Nathan Fouarge Sent: Thursday, April 29, 2004 10:20 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [IMail Forum] Postmaster response question. I just received the following message from our local USPS postmaster: Please change the name "Postmaster" so customers do not call me at the Post Office. You could use a name such as "EMail Guardian", "Administrator", or "EMail Master"... Ok, I realize the RFC's say that we need a 'postmaster' account, but is there any way we can change the message a bounce sends? I thought I had this taken care of with this guy a couple months ago but here it is again... Please try not to laugh too hard, you might strain yourself. :) Nathan Fouarge To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/ --- Incoming mail is certified Virus Free.
