Imail's docu talks about extra long commands (>512 bytes) and not about malformed recipient addresses. The validation was for having at least 7 characters and one "@" not on first place followed by at least one "." > But are you are sure that there aren't extraneous > non-printing characters being sent as well? I don't know if there was any other special characters. > I'd say you should be careful to only send a mail > server a valid sender address if you don't want the mail > rejected for any reason. > It's especially important when it's one of your own servers! We're a ISP and there are out dozens of programmers that write ASP, .NET and PHP scripts for use on our server. I can't control all of this scripts for correct email validation. So I have to disable "Auto deny possible hack attempts" to prevent further problems?!
