The other DNS thread got me looking at some of my own client's DNS cache.

Then I realized none of my clients were caching DNS entries on the local side.  I can only assume every DNS request passes through my DNS server, which obviously has been working, but has to be a bear on the network.

Any ideas why machines (using mostly XP) wouldn't cache client side?  I didn't think it was a setting, I assumed it was automatic.  I didn't modify the registry or anything like that.
