That's how we have it set up, but the problem is that the IP address listed for a mail user isn't the IP address of the mail server, but their client machine. Since we're a small web hosting provider and we don't have any way of knowing where all of our customers' mail users will be sending mail from, we can't add the IP addresses to the Trusted Addresses list.
