I was happy to see a fix for a mem leak in the 8.12 patch, I knew I had that problem but wasnt aware it was a "known problem"
I have two identical servers setup as gateways, same hardware, same software, same config, but one has the mem leak and one does not. Each server process 60,000-70,000 messages a day. I upgraded both of them when the patch came out, the one that has had the mem leak continutes to have the mem leak. The SMTP process is now using 140MB on this particular box while the other machine is using less than 7MB with the same mail load. I have compared the settings on both boxes several times and they are setup exactly the same. The SMTP service eventually crashes due to the high mem usage. The unaffected gateway has yet to lose a service in the 3 months its been running. /me scratches head Rick Davidson National Systems Manager North American Title Group To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/
