The smtp service on my Imail server will periodically stop and restart itself. I was wondering if anyone else was having this problem. I am running version 8.12. I did have the problem before in version 8.4, I believe. The culprit then was a bad spam test. I currently have the same spam tests running that I put in when I corrected this issue with smtp stopping and restarting. It hasn't really been an issue lately, but I noticed over the last 3 days, it looks as if it may be an issue again. The spam tests are:
Spamhaus.xbl Spamcop Dsbl Mailpoliceblock Sorbsdns Sorbsrhs Ordb Along with the verify mail from address test and the verify helo/ehlo domain with delete messages after 2 matches checked And the phrase and statistical filtering If anyone has any knowledge as to why this is happening, please contact me.
