Thanks Christian. I did exactly that. Just posted a response before I
saw yours.

Why not just create a user named 'nobody'? If you don't want the email left in that
user's account, setup a forward to the
destination in which you do want to deposit the messages.
Have a good one,

Subject: [IMail Forum] Can I have a nobody alias that only accepts mail addressed to
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
Hi,
I would like to have an alias called [EMAIL PROTECTED] but only have it accept mail addressed to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and not any
non-existent account. We have several applications that are sending out mail addressed from [EMAIL PROTECTED] so that bounces
don't get delivered.
It was pointed out that we should at least accept the bounces then delete them. But if I create a [EMAIL PROTECTED] alias and
filter it to the bit bucket, I'm telling all those dictionary attackers that this is a valid account and legitimate mistakes will
never get bounced.
So....can this "feature" of Imail be turned off and have nobody@ really mean only
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
Thanks!
BTW-Searched the archives and got 30+ pages of irrelevant hits. Sorry if this has
been covered.
