Here we go. We bought a GSM-modem (e.g. from Falcon), inserted the PIN for this GSM-modem. Then we installed the software (WinSMS) on a windows box. (Might be the same as the eMail-Server, when no additional HW is there). I would do a redirect of each users eMail (if desired) to a mailbox [EMAIL PROTECTED] or something. Then WinSMS checks this mailbox via POP3 periodically and sends it out. Of course you can do it without GSM, with a modem or ISDN-line and together with an external SMS-gateway you can do it as well.
