So... my question is... functionally, what is the difference between URL Domain Blacklist and SMTP kill file.
They are two separate functions. :)
The most important difference is that the SMTP Kill List works during the SMTP connections, which allows you to reject mail before the bandwidth is used. If you are 100% certain that no legitimate E-mail will come from a specific E-mail address or domain, using the Kill List is the best option.
I realize that the kill list actually lets you list a specific user (like "[EMAIL PROTECTED]") but I had also listed several domains preceeded by the @ symbol. Is that the only difference?
The URL Domain Blacklist blacklists domains that appear in URLs, whereas the SMTP Kill List blacklists domains or E-mail addresses that appear in the "MAIL FROM" SMTP command.
