Sandy, I am trying to get this set up, and I have had some problems:

First, here's what I did. On my primary mail server (Imail 8.12), I issued
the following command from the directory that aliases2ldap.vbs is located:

<-------->
cscript aliases2ldap.vbs -lv mail.taisweb.net -d cn=root,o=mail.taisweb.net
-w *******
<-------->
And got good feedback listing the aliases it found. I then fired up
Softerra's LDAP Browser and verified that the alias information was now
included in the LDAP database.

Then I went to the backup mail spooler (Imail 7.15) and issued this command
from the directory containing ldap2aliases.vbs:

<-------->
cscript ldap2aliases.vbs -lv storeforward.taisweb.net -s 68.118.153.2 -rv
mail.taisweb.net -ad taisweb.net
<-------->
...And I got this feedback:

<-------->
Microsoft (R) Windows Script Host Version 5.6
Copyright (C) Microsoft Corporation 1996-2001. All rights reserved.

Local IMail virtual host: storeforward.taisweb.net
Server: 68.118.153.2
Remote IMail virtual host: mail.taisweb.net
Domain name in alias targets: mail.taisweb.net

IMail virtual host key:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Ipswitch\IMail\Domains\storeforward.taisweb.net\users\_aliases

---Export Started---

Error opening _aliases key, aborting!
<-------->

I have verified that the key
"HKLM\SOFTWARE\Ipswitch\IMail\Domains\storeforward.taisweb.net\users\_aliase
s" exists. This is a brand new virtual host added to Imail for this test. I
have verified that the logged-in user has the correct permissions to the
registry key (I even logged in as administrator and tried it, with the same
result). Port 389 is open on the firewall for the path from
spooler-to-mailboxes.

Thanks for a great script and TIA for your assistance.

Dan Horne
