make sure you escape the [] characters with a "\" before them to make them
literal and not an operator

Subject: [IMail Forum] Filter problems

> Hi,
>
> I've created a filter to move all the messages I receive from this list
into a folder called "Imail_Forum", however, it is also moving other
messages that don't match the criteria. I've setup the filter rule to look
for "[IMAIL_FORUM]" in the subject and if found, move to the folder
mentioned above.

no subject - it seemed to misbehave the same way. Any ideas what I am doing
