Here's a "backdoor" feedback channel to Ipswitch worth trying... Ipswitch sends out a monthly email newsletter. At the bottom is the following sentence:
W"HAT'S YOUR PAIN? We are interested in hearing from you about the messaging, network management, and file transfer issues that cause your company the most concern. Share your pain with us! " The hyperlink (not shown here) merely sends an email to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" with a subject of "Ipswitch Newsletter -What's Your Pain?" It might be worthwhile to have a little "letter to the editor" campaign. Perhaps if everyone here that wants Port 587 / authentication-only SMTP support were to drop a note... Since this is an indirect channel and not the regular "post a suggestion which falls on deaf ears", it might have some shock value if the editor suddenly gets hundreds of emails all requesting the same thing?
