Is this person behind a proxy or firewall? I was thinking if it is proxy
then maybe the others have firewall clients and permissions and he
doesn't. That be the case here with us running ISA only the ones
authorized to send and receive external pop are able to.

Subject: [IMail Forum] Shot in the dark, but you guys are the smartest
bunch I know

This is not iMail related, but this is the smartest group of people I
know so here goes:

We have a user on our network who is using a Toshiba laptop running
WinXP Pro and Outlook XP. The
problem he is having is getting his POP email. He has Outlook set up to
deliver email from both
our Exchange server and his pop email server to the same inbox. He can
send and receive just fine
on the exchange account, he cannot on the pop. As a matter of fact,
when you look at the account
settings, and press the test settings button, Outlook fails on the
establish network connectivity
step. Keep in mind that the user is constantly connected to our school
network and he can access
the internet just fine. There are other users in his area with the same
settings and they can
send and receive email from both accounts just fine. The only thing I
can figure that is
different is that the laptop originally ran XP Home and was upgraded to
XP Pro. Any ideas?
