Subject: [IMail Forum] MBX Search Utility

I'm looking for a utility to search mbx files (in the current directory
and sub directories) for attachments. I need to not only find the
attachment by name but either strip it out of the message or remove the
entire message.

The reason for this request is not long ago Symantec and NAI were a
little late on a pattern release, our Trend Server Protect got it in
time and saved the servers in our Data Center but several of my clients
using IMail were infected with the virus. After we figured out the
attachment name that came with the email I was able to search the
information store within Exchange and strip the messages and/or the
attachments out by name. I had a request to do the same with our IMail
server but after playing with the mbx's for a while and burning a call
to IMail support there is no way of doing it. The only way explained was
to scan the mbx file individually, and if it showed infected to go in
and "try" to delete the code used.......................yeah right!

Anyone know of anything that can search mbx's and strip out attachments?
I've tried several 3rd party mail clients like MailNavigator etc but
have been unsuccessful in all of my attempts.
