Hello all,
I host a few virtual domains but
only one virtual domain cannot receive email from this particular
remote domain below :
From my SMTP logs, it seems that email
exchange always stops after "RCPT TO". There are many instances of
such behaviour in my logs. Here's an example :
----------------------
SMTPD (1E610114) [202.172.232.204]
connect 202.158.3.68 port 56878
SMTPD (1E610114) [202.158.3.68] EHLO smtp2a.cbn.net.id
SMTPD (1E610114) [202.158.3.68] MAIL FROM:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
SMTPD (1E610114) [202.158.3.68] RCPT TO:<PROTECTED>
SMTPD (1E610114) [202.158.3.68] EHLO smtp2a.cbn.net.id
SMTPD (1E610114) [202.158.3.68] MAIL FROM:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
SMTPD (1E610114) [202.158.3.68] RCPT TO:<PROTECTED>
----------------------
Other remote IP addresses tried sending in are
202.158.3.66/67/68/69 but the outcome are the same (ie. stops after getting the
"RCPT TO").
There are no other traces of the "Body" messages
in the logs. No received messages in my spool also. I have restarted my
SMTP service but it is still the same.
From DNS checks, the mail servers for the remote domain "globalfrtjkt.co.id" :
- Pref 10 = tokyo.cbn.net.id (202.158.3.72)
- Pref 20 = corp.cbn.net.id (202.158.3.73)
so I guess the remote domain uses different mail servers for sending & receiving.
However, I can't open a port 25 connection to any of the 202.158.3.66/67/68/69. Will this affect my mail server ability to receive data from them ?
Any ideas/suggestion would be welcome.
Thanks.
