I have a small mail server using Imail 8.05 for Fire Department Paging.
wow, This really bugs me. The page msg circuit is too darn long.
How about cutting out Imail altogether?
On the dispatcher's PC, setup a serious email client program (eudora, the bat, etc) and set its outbound smtp server to be the MX of the paging service. ie, dispatcher-direct-to-page.domain-MX. Can't get any shorter than that.
Turn logging on in the email client, so there is a trace log of all page submissions from dispatcher to page.domain MX.
