Chris,

Maybe "administrator" is a reserved word (like: COM, AUX and others)
within IMail? When IMail uses the NT DB, it uses that name, so maybe
it should not be used in other situations?

You could also try deleting that user and recreating it, to be sure it
is not some configuration issue (yes, I see you checked, but once in a
great while I have seen settings that look normal that did not work.
To fix that, change each setting and Apply, then change back to the
desired setting.).

I know I tend not to use such long names and have often used "admin"
as an administrative user with good luck. You might try that, too.

HTH,
Dan Donnelly

Subject: [IMail Forum] Odd "Alias deletion failed message" on web
interface

I have had an odd issue with the account "administrator" on an Imail
server running 8.13 that can't modify group aliases from the web
interface. Whenever my user tries I get the message; "Alias deletion
failed". Other accounts seem to be okay. I've tripled check to be sure
the Host/List Administrator boxes were checked. New accounts seem to
handle this change fine.

Any ideas?
