I saw Marketwave do this years ago on their stats software trying to
change it over to a service. They were a decent competitor to Web
Trends at the time. Now their business is out of business.

If you make such a radical change, people don't forget and this will
be in many forums, not just this one, for a long long time. Ipswitch
will be playing damage control for years on this one.

I have been a guest to ISPCON and many forums on many of these issues
and I will definitely tell this story in many open forum discussions
for some time. I am one of Chicago's oldest ISPs, having my first online
system in 1980 here. I remember when John Junod's picture was on the
early copies of WS_FTP. ;) I really resent being treated this way.

I would like to see Declude make their product work on a few
alternatives right away. We will be dropping Ipswitch and never do
business with them ever again. We will be dumping Imail as soon as we
can.
