Try to look at it with Ipswitch's eyes:
 
Ipswitch drops 90% of us existing customers, hoping that 10% of us will 
upgrade. With the price multiplied by factor ten, they will have the same 
revenue with much less customers, thereby massively reducing support.
 
Targetting a different market with ICS (the MS Exchange segment), the
existing IMail customers are nothing but a hassle to maintain.
 
Our deep product loyality is reflected pretty well by the emotional
reactions on this list. Unfortunately, there is no ethics for hardline
salesmen.
 
While I doubt that Ipswitch has a chance in the MS Exchange market
segment, they seem confident that it might work. However, they might
overlook that their reputation suffers badly from the dropped user base.
