It was mentioned that Imail was meant to be a 20 min startup to
completion. There has to be a number of small businesses where email is
critical and cost is equally important. A small business can not afford to
have resident staff or an outside supplier to service their software. For
10 years, it has been lean and mean.
They have been slowly getting under my skin. It basically comes down to two
items. Version 8.04 or 8.05, Macfee WebShield for SMTP stopped screening
after update. I paid for AV License. Now It is so difficult to get up and
running, I have a big security issue. I have been very frustrated that the
Anti Spam Rules do not seem to work well. I just took off a Rule for body
of message search for a specific drug. It was flagging a message for
dialysis. In my naive opinion, I have not upgraded to Ver8.1x due to
problems posted on this forum. I only have 3 domains with a total 86
accounts. I have not been able to convince the GM to change. Now, he
wants to switch in 2005. Even if he did not, I would not be convinced
that ICS would come out of Box totally working as an Email Server with
excellent AV and AntiSpam.
I am not an expert, but companies must need an application that works
straight up with no big problems. A company needs
Reasonable Costs.
Load and Go.
Little or No Maintenance
Reliable.
No Gateway.
No Extra Virus Scanner.
Good Updates that really work warning of changes to system configuration.
Good Information stating System Requirements.
Just my 2 cents. Maybe Ipswitch can use this to improve their new ICS
Software.

forum was excellent, also. I learned a lot from it.
It is obvious to do not want to service this market segment. I wished I
knew this a month ago at renewal for Oct 21, 2005.
