I think the default is 50. That's also the max Yahoo allows.
yahoo has few million more recipients than the avg Imail server.
No need to pull a number out of your ear. Look at the avg number of recipients in your logs. It's probably under 5.
for one largish MX I admin, for about 10K unique recipients, here's the distribution of nrcpt:
