Ours does 100% when it has a few hundred emails to work on but normal
traffic seems to be ok. I'm wondering if you feel that f-prot is better in
terms of processor and could handle more mail than CLAM?

Bill,

In our enviroment it seemed to be on an average 20 % processor intensive. We
observe carefully our mail server with MRTG. The prosessor intesity was not
the major reason to change from Clam to f-prot. With Clam we had a few
incident when cpu turned on 100% for 10 minutes. We never found the reason
for that before changed to f-prot.

Jarkko,

Is f-prot that much less processor intensive than Clam?

mxGuard for IMail is great software. We use it with commercial decently
priced F-Prot Antivirus for Windows. If I remeber right it was approximately
40 $ / for a 10 computer license.

We ran in minor CPU-trouble with ClamAV. Still it is excellent OpenSource
package. We had no trouble with F-Prot Antivirus for Windows.
