The lists I have set up (using the IMail Administrator) automatically create
an alias for "owner-<listname>@domain". However, IMail seems to recognize
both "owner-<listname>@domain" and "<listname>[EMAIL PROTECTED]" as valid
addresses and forwards the email to the stated "Resolves To".

Checking from "Outside the firewall", RCPT TO: either owner-listname or
listname-owner work fine.

It's OK for them to check the user, as the user ought to be there. Is it?

Subject: [IMail Forum] Invalid email address

Hi all,

I am using Imail 8.13 and use the List feature. However, some email being
sent out get rejected with the following message:

550 SMTP connection refused - Invalid email address in MAIL FROM:
'[EMAIL PROTECTED]'

Is the rejecting host actualy testing the email address?
Is there a workaround?

Thanks,

David
