Ditto for SpamAssassin (SA). I run Sniffer with SA on my Linux/Postfix
gateways, and SA also has a bunch of additional tests that very capable
folks have put together (for example see:
http://www.rulesemporium.com/rules.htm). SA can also call other
pattern-matching databases, as well, like Razor
(http://razor.sourceforge.net), Pyzor (http://pyzor.sourceforge.net), and
DCC (http://www.rhyolite.com/anti-spam/dcc).

SA also fully supports plug-ins like HashCash verification, full SPF
functionality (including: SPF_PASS, SPF_FAIL, SPF_SOFTFAIL, SPF_HELO_PASS,
SPF_HELO_FAIL, SPF_HELO_SOFTFAIL), and URIDNSBL queries (DNS queries on
top-level domains from URIs found in e-mail message bodies & the ability to
query RBLs/RHSBLs against their name servers).

Since I also run Declude JunkMail, I aggregate the SA score with my JunkMail
score and take action based on the total outcome. I like Declude JunkMail,
but I have got to say that, at this point, SA has way more functionality and
capabilities at zero cost (except learning curve, of course ;-).
