I think I found the right place. I put "Deny Unless", and listed my IMail
box, their external IPs and their Internal network. We'll see what I broke.

Thanks all!

There is a setting in SMTP virtual server that will let you restrict access
by IP address.

Subject: [IMail Forum] OT Exchange question

A good friend of mine runs a small business behind Microsoft Small Business
Server, which includes Exchange for email service. He was getting hundreds
of spams per day.

I changed his MX records to point to my server (Imail) priority 5, and his
server as priority 10. My IMail server vets the email with SpamAssassin
(http://www.visioncomm.net/sac) and if clean, forwards it to his Exchange,
otherwise, it remains on my box for research purposes (via Webmail).

The spam continued, and my server was NOT in the headers.

I removed the MX record for Exchange.

The spam continued, and my server was NOT in the headers.

Does anybody know how to configure Exchange 2J not to accept inbound email
unless the sending server IP is 63.171.93.5? I know veeeeeeerrrrry little
about Exchange. It's in Native mode, but I couldn't even find the "About
Box" to report the version<g>.
