We are in the process of upgrading one of older mail servers. It is running 6.0x and using MS SQL 6.5 as an external database. We are upgrading to 8.1x and are contemplatine going to MS SQL 2000. Migrating the database is going to be a trick in and of itself as we will have to manually insert columns into the SQL tables for each domain (about 150).
One thing we are considering is converting to the Imail registry instead of using the external database. Has anyone ever gone that route? I did not find anyting in the archives regarding that.
