> Does anyone know if this is a standard feature in mail servers? Yes, it is standard to have a single message header/body be delivered only once to every unique final address after all aliases, including nested aliases, have been resolved.
Catchall aliases, such as IMail's 'nobody,' could theoretically act as a special case, but in IMail, they are, for the most part, treated as standard aliases as above. To do what you're referring to, you'd first find a popper that is able to use a custom header (rather than forcing the use of a non-standard _part_ of a header such as 'for'), then write a script to insert this custom header based on the original envelope information. --Sandy ------------------------------------ Sanford Whiteman, Chief Technologist Broadleaf Systems, a division of Cypress Integrated Systems, Inc. e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] SpamAssassin plugs into Declude! http://www.mailmage.com/products/software/freeutils/SPAMC32/download/release/ Defuse Dictionary Attacks: Turn Exchange or IMail mailboxes into IMail Aliases! http://www.mailmage.com/products/software/freeutils/exchange2aliases/download/release/ http://www.mailmage.com/products/software/freeutils/ldap2aliases/download/release/ To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/
