I completely agree. It is even worth to regiter if you need more monitors. Monitors whatever possible and uses dependendcies. There is even a plugin to monito a mail roundtrip (send mail to a any SMTP Server and loog if it reaches your pop mailbox). - Monitors whatever is possible (you can even create own dlls and scripts) - Alarms depending on timetables (even nows hollydays) - Send an Mail, Pager, Program, Start a service, play a sound... whatever you like as an an alarm - free definition of escalations (eg. send an email after the second failed ping and then restart a server if 20% of the last 50 pings where down or when the mails don't reach your target - Logfiles and HTML statistics - ... www.woodstone.nu If you look for a program which is easyer to use but not so flexible have a look at whatsUP from Ipswitch. For huge installation i recomend gfi languard (which is not even as powerfull and felxible as ServersAlive but made for huge networks with many maschines to manage from a single console) Matti JB> -----Original Message----- JB> From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] JB> [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Travis Rabe JB> Sent: Tuesday, November 30, 2004 10:28 AM JB> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] JB> Subject: RE: [IMail Forum] OT: Service Level Monitoring Software JB> Servers Alive JB> ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- JB> -- JB> From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] JB> [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Jeff Reinhardt JB> Sent: Tuesday, November 30, 2004 8:32 AM JB> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] JB> Subject: [IMail Forum] OT: Service Level Monitoring Software JB> I am still having issues with IMail and wanted to know if you JB> can recommend some different service level monitoring JB> software options.
