That is like saying since someone on a bus shot at you, it's ok to blow up the bus and kill innocent people.
We aren't talking about murder or any kind of bodily, personal violence. We talking about a DDoS of a stupid machine. Please try to see the difference.
Web sites are normally on shared servers with many other web sites
Sometimes, many time not.
,blatantly and blindly attacking one of them is essentially attacking them all.
"stuff happens" (but people don't die), and such a tactic will certainly get the attention of lots of people in a huge hurry, and get the problem corrected, if it's correctable.
So far, "internet" has let these websites/spamvertizers run wide-open without fear of retribution, as they spam us to "death", infect web visitors' browsers with spyware that steals cc/bank info, etc, etc.
where you get hit and you throw a brick randomly in a crowd not caring who else you hit.
We are talking about a inanimate web server, not human(s). Try to see the difference.
