I am running v 7.15 HF3, I have had non-stop issues
with this as well. I was told it was my hardware, I upgraded to the
following:
Dual PIII-733
1 GB RAM
2 x 9 GB RAID1 for the system and
IMail
2 x 9 GB RAID1 for the spool and logs
2 x 18 GB RAID1 for the mailboxes
Average 50k msgs per day, max around 90k per
day.
Still problems. Recently Len and a couple
people suggested it could still be hardware, so I got a new system,
Dual PIII-1GHz
2 GB RAM
4 x 18 GB Drives, Hardware RAID5 (3 containers, 1
for sys, 1 for log/spool, 1 for mailboxes)
Same problems.
I have followed every Archived suggestion about NIC
cards, and everything else, still the same issues. I am running IMail, Declude
Virus (with F-Prot) and Declude JunkMail which seems to be a very common
setup and yet noone can explain why I am having this issue and IPSwitch has done
nothing to help either.
As of today, I am setting up the original
system with MailEnable Enterprise.

Hi , I got w2K3 server loaded with imail 8.14HF1 , recently the smtp
service keeps goes down with any error message, I check the imail service
status , is show running. and then I have to restart the smtp service in order
to bring up DEAD SMTP. any help from ipswitch ??? please fix the problem ASAP.

Is
the service actually stopping? I have seen, more than a few times, where
2K3 will report a service down when it really wasn't...
