Use file splitter to split the file into more manageable sections and then delete what you don't need. It says that the split parts are not supposed to be opened individually but I use it for Imail log files frequently to keep the log file size under 100MB...Just copy the file and use file splitter to work with the copy and not the original.
The latest version of The File Splitter can be obtained from http://www.dekabyte.com/filesplitter/download.html -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Len Conrad Sent: Monday, December 06, 2004 5:41 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [IMail Forum] OT: Oops... In the same "too big" area, my Eudora expanded a heavily updated .mbx file to be 3.x GB. I can't delete because I need some messages in there. If anybody knows how to work with such a file, lemme know. nothing I have can open it without an error.
