Actually, there are both a primary and secondary DNS server on the local network, which IMail is told to use.  The ISP DNS servers are set as forwarders in the local DNS servers.  Either way, unless the local DNS servers have cached info on the receiving domains, there will be no resolution because without a connection the local DNS can't query the forwarders.   ----- Original Message ----- From: Daniel Donnelly To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, December 07, 2004 14:52 Subject: RE: [IMail Forum] IMail Returning Messages When Connection Down Jeffery,   Actually IMail cannot get DNS responses, so it is not finding the Host and so reports this error and returns the mail it cannot deliver. My bet is that you do not have a DNS on the local network or you told IMail (and/or the computer it runs on) to use the DNS at your ISP.
