The Spool directory is excluded in any virus scanning on the IMail
Server.  I will check the log though.  What I find interesting is that
all that is mentioned in the received from is Trident.  We do not have a
machine by this name.

That's a very big clue. From the headers, it seems that the *only* header that was sent was that bogus "Received: from trident" header. That isn't a header that IMail added, so it means that the D*.SMD file wasn't deleted (as is usually the case when there are no headers).


I would guess it is spam gone bad.
