I think there is a KB article that could do a better job of explaining this
than I can. I have changed Imail machines a couple of times now and didn't
lost anything, but first backing up the Imail registry (I also do a manual
and have once needed it) then doing an install on the new 2000 machine that
is exactly the same version you have on the NT machine. Once the install is
complete copy the Imail registry over to the new machine and restore it to
the registry. Then copy your whole Imail root directory from the old machine
to the new machine overwriting all like files. Shut down the old machine and
make the new machine the same IP address as the old machine and you should
be up and running.

The key thing is being positive that the new machine is running the exact
same version as the old machine. Also before doing it this way verify that
somebody else doesn't think of something I've forgotten or has an easier way
of doing it. Doing it as I mentioned above you shouldn't lose anything,
including emails, even those still waiting for process.
