I wouldn't put it that way; our client base has overwhelmingly
corporate--as opposed to consumer--end users. In fact, we specialized
in desktop management and single sign-on back in the mid-90's. Why
d'ya think we publish scripts for IMail-Exchange integration? :)

It's clear that we both know what to expect in a corporate setting.
Our difference is one of approach. I believe that problems such as
yours are much better solved at the client level; I couldn't imagine
having a corporate Outlook/OE installation that's not fully managed
using group policies (or ZenWorks, or other equivalent), for both
stability and performance.

If you can't use GPOs for some reason, the second choice would be
bouncing messages that do not match your content restrictions, such as
including text/html MIME segments or being generated by a disallowed
mailer. Bouncing allows users to recompose using allowed methods and
mailers, ensuring that content that is eventually transmitted is still
of their creation.

A _far_ distant third choice would be changing rich message content n
transit without user notification; I can assure you that the more
thoroughly you alter messages, the more complaints you will have. Now,
if you're lucky enough to rule with an iron fist, these complaints
won't matter to you. . . but if you ruled with an iron fist, I'd think
everybody would already be hard-locked-down on the desktop, y'know?

Again, group policies take "listening" out of the equation.
